We got this litter box to replace a Purina Breeze box, as I was tired of the proprietary litter & pads that were often difficult to buy when needed. Our cat has a major kicking & digging problem and loves to kick her litter around, so a box with higher walls was more appealing.On this aspect, this absolutely delivers. The walls are high enough that you can reasonably avoid litter being scattered around on that alone. However, the splash guard and clips that are included that further improve that aspect really need to be redone, in my opinion. The clips do not allow the guard deeply enough to reasonably keep the guard in place. Secondly, the guard itself is shaped awkwardly, as if it's missing a few inches of length to adequately fit the pan. The instructions to install it are vague and did not adequately explain whether the guard is meant to be slid inside the pan or outside.So far we have had to re-attach the guard multiple times in the few days that we've had this pan, which is easily going to become atrociously irritating over time. A few extra inches of length to match the pan's length more accurately, and the clips having more security or stability to them would easily make this a perfect litter box.
