Inaccurate readings are best in tools and devices

I bought this sensor for my 36 volt golf cart. I bought this item knowing that this sensor is the benchmark. For example, I need to charge the batteries when the meter reads 1/2 battery because at that moment, while still charged, my batteries do not have enough voltage to run the cart. The pressure gauge is easy to install. After the initial installation, the pressure gauge correctly indicated the full charge. I started the car until the batteries died, at which point the meter read 1/2 charge. Then I fully charged the batteries. However, after a full charge, the sensor still indicated the battery was 1/2 charged. I checked with my handheld meter that the batteries are charged. I've disconnected and reinstalled several times, making sure to fully charge the batteries before reconnecting the sensor. Every time the sensor gave me a different reading, it sometimes showed the batteries were dead when in fact they were fully charged, again I checked with a handheld meter. I will not spend any extra time on this switch.
