Review on Enhance Your Honda Acura Accord's Security with the Driver Power Insight Front Left Door Lock Actuator (# 72155-SDA-A01) by Carl Morgan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My automatic locks are working again on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline!

This drivetrain is a perfect match for my 2006 Ridgeline. At first I couldn't unlock my doors with my remote, and then if you were going over 9mph the auto-lock feature would try to keep working when I heard clicks, but the lock wouldn't actually engage. I ended up having to disable this feature until my part arrived. Before replacing the part, I checked two places; 1) Ridgeline forum 2) YouTube. The most important thing is the video and the tools for it. Impact wrench and hammer, various sizes of Phillips screwdrivers, various sizes of straight screwdrivers and a set of sockets (6-10mm) from my best memories. Total install time was 3 hours but if I did it today it would only take 1 1/2 hours. This task is quite tricky and requires a lot of patience as there are many plastic clips that can break if you try to tighten something too much. I recently learned that the dealer would charge $80 for this part and the labor would cost over $400. So fixing that alone would certainly save me a pack.
