Review on 🔦 LASFIT H7 LED Bulbs w/Adapter-Retainer for VW Passat 2012-2019 Dipped Beam, Plug n Play, 6000K Cool White Light (Pack of 2) by Kenny Loeslein

If like me you own a 2012-2015 VW Passat you already know how terrible headlights work. The IIHS gave the Passat's headlights a BAD rating, and I'm not surprised. I've used VCDS to increase voltage on older halogens with little noticeable benefit. I've talked back and forth about LEDs and the HID kit, but finally I read the reviews here on Revain and pulled the trigger. Installation was a little more difficult than expected. I originally left the clear/white o-ring that came with the LEDs on the bulb. First I installed it on the driver's side and turned on the lamp, but the lamp didn't light up! I thought I had a defective lamp. However, I removed the O-ring and the driver's side caught fire. When installing on the passenger side, I experimented and left the O-ring on the lantern. To my surprise, it successfully rotated, clicked, and lit, so I left the o-ring on the passenger side. I looked for a possible factory VW O-ring that stuck to the body but nothing stuck and nothing came loose with the old bulbs. The rubber dust boot fits the back of the lamp housing and thus the fan. I read the seller's response in the Q&A where the seller stated that we don't have to worry about overheating. I'm a little concerned about this. Then I walk around a bit, put my hand on the rubber cover and see if it's hot. If they're hot I'll probably remove the OEM boots. Just take a look. Conclusion: worth every penny. Yes, they are relatively expensive compared to other LEDs without special VW pins, but I'm amazed at the improvement. Check out the 3 photos I uploaded and see for yourself! They are definitely close to the xenon headlights on my wife's 2016 Jetta with the lighting package.
