This was a great upgrade from stock headlight bulbs. This is the best solution I have found for a 2013 VW Passat. It's really plug and play BUT it was a bit difficult to get the bulbs to rotate and snap into place. The smooth body of the lamp/fan housing makes it difficult to get a good grip to rotate and snap it into place. This H7 LED Lasfit is amazing. Bought for a 2012 Volkswagen Passat SE. Both took less than 5 minutes to install. Take out the standard bulb adapter, set it aside and simply take the Lasfit LED, plug it into the headlight, twist and snap and it's fitted in no time. First of all these lights look fantastic. I've always wished I had HID lights, but that was the only feature I didn't get. The standard bulbs were a bright amber color and never looked right next to the gorgeous LED fog lights. That's what makes the car great and the bulbs are very bright. Due to the cylindrical design, it cannot be mounted without great effort (no tendency to crush). The passenger side didn't fit at all - in fact the body shop mechanic had to do some dremel work to get them to fit somehow, but it's clear they were designed for this type of headlight setup. I highly recommend this LED light for Volkswagen Passat. The story is that one of my near rays failed.
