Great smart strip! Perfect for your Christmas decorations and more

I have several Meross products at home so I was excited to try this new smart power strip. With all the Christmas decorations scattered throughout the house, it's super handy to be able to control them all from one place. For example, the lights I use for my Christmas tree cannot be stacked on top of each other, so each needs a separate plug. Instead of buying multiple separate smart plugs, this extension gives me multiple smart plugs for one device. This power strip has a total of 5 controllable devices - 4 separate sockets and a block of 4 USB A sockets. Setting up in HomeKIt is as easy as you'd expect: 1) plug the strip into a socket, 2) scan the code in the Home app and 3 ) complete the setup in the Home app. In the Home app, an extension cord can appear as a single tile and each outlet can appear as a separate tile. The physical button on the power strip turns on/off all outlets and USB ports simultaneously. I also set up an extender in the Google Assistant app and it was just as easy, so I'm guessing the Alexa setup is too. My only criticism of this strip is that it doesn't appear to be a surge protector. I don't know if this is a limitation of smart home devices because nobody seems to do it, but I think it would be great to have a surge protector. I recommend additionally downloading the Meross app as it makes updating the firmware easier. Meross constantly updates the firmware and fixes bugs. For the sake of complete transparency, Meross gave me this product to review, but my opinion is 100% the same as mine.
