The length of this brush is its main advantage. Yes you can and I bought brushes locally for $3. The handles are not that long and the bristles are often a bit stiffer. These bristles are softer which makes them not only effective on wheel wells but also safe on most wheel surfaces. Even works on tires (although I prefer stiffer bristles). However, it fulfills everything you would expect from a car brush. It is ergonomic, light and easy to clean after the work is done.
