Requires modification for

After spending an hour trying to close my tailgate by adjusting the stopper position, I found the piece was too thick and I had one side of the piece had to file. I've tried a number of things you can think of and a number of things you can't to make this part work as advertised. Look at my photo which side I had to put down. It takes a little force to fully lock the tailgate. I'll find a grinding wheel to fine tune it.
