We have a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan and the buttons on these remotes are failing resulting in the sliding doors opening by themselves even though the door is locked! You can't just buy rubber keychains from a retailer. I figured out $8.99, I roll the dice. My old remote had 6 buttons but since it was cheap I figured I'd go with 7 buttons and save $9 lol. Would you believe the extra 7th button that is the remote start button works?!? No programming or additional hardware! Didn't expect that! I just transferred the rubber button overlay to our old key case. It seems to have a different piece of plastic that our original Dodge key case didn't have, so I reused the factory Dodge key case and just used the buttons from that purchase, which were intended when they were ordered anyway. If your sliding doors open by themselves, it will. !The addition of remote start is epic for hot or cold climates, my wife is thrilled to have this feature back to keep the van cool for everyone in the heat of summer.
