Review on Command Refill Strips White Medium by Linda Diaz

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great for some things but not all

I have used almost all types of command strips on a variety of items from framed posters to picture frames and small ones Keep speakers in a rented apartment and the list goes on. I love these things until I bought a house with stucco walls. Does not work on plastered walls. At first I thought I hadn't waited long enough so I squeezed these things for 3 minutes and let them sit for 24 hours. Two days later everything collapsed - again, denting the new floor and cracking my new floor. Frame. I was so sad. Otherwise these things work great on smooth painted wood (not as good on wood as joists - see note below), matte and gloss painted drywall. They also don't work well inside. my office. Although this area doesn't get wet, I had to use waterproof ones to keep them on. My cabinets are easy clean/scratch resistant thermal bag cabinets if that helps anyone. I've tried using wiring closets on joists in my basement and wherever the cord resisted the joist, it eventually broke. If you know what the bars are I wasn't surprised but I cleaned them well and tried to put them on a smooth spot - even tried sanding them smooth but it didn't stick. I was hoping it would work, but I knew it was unlikely to work. I was hoping I wouldn't have to put these brackets in the joists, but eventually I will.

Pros
  • Contents: 8 small strips, 4 medium strips, 4 large strips
Cons
  • Long shipping time

Big fan of command strips for hanging items on the wall non-destructively
