This works as I expected and hoped. While I personally don't know how this will affect our pup's safety in the unlikely event of a serious car accident, I'm sure it will keep them (and other passengers) safe on a regular basis. I'm not worried about the risk of her wandering around the car while I'm driving. She can't get out of the car when I open the door, and she can't accidentally jump in the path of the closing car door. It works and goes well with the coordination belt - but again, I can't personally speak to how this belt will protect from others in an accident.
