Review on πŸƒ Experience Unmatched Comfort and Performance with New Balance Men's Fresh Foam More Trail by Dylan Deng

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Of course there is a difference.

I calculated that I've lived with my latest New Balance Trail Runners for at least 3.5 years. I don't think I understand that time and weight simply affects the foam's ability to absorb shock/weight. I'm usually a size 10.5W so for the main ascents and descents of the trail I chose 11 just to have enough room so my sock would NOT hit the front on the descent as I also wear wool socks which are a bit thicker and better cushioning than most cotton or cotton/polyethylene/spandex blend socks. It just works for me and I don't actually run trails. but walking up the hills, panting on the steeper climbs and then trying not to trip over a root on the way down or keep my feet from slipping out from under me on the descent, yanking my back to save me and my to regain balance. Only"Full Disclosure". And without bears, mountain lions, wolves, great white sharks. or other apex predators in the forest, the chances of you letting me run down the path is rather slim. Simply put, the overall insole is supremely comfortable and makes a huge difference with every step. They're not cheap, and for comfort you have to compromise on lateral stability, so I have to be more careful with my foot placement and make sure the laces are as tight as possible. As usual, it's nice to know that most New Balances are wide and many components are still made/assembled in the USA. That's important to me at a time when we've complained about paying someone $15 an hour.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good
