Love these shoes, they ran great for a couple of 20 mile days right out of the box, definitely not for tarmac/road mix, it's either trail or off-road. The only thing missing is keeping the tongue centered like the street version.

I like the shoes. The first size didn't fit. I returned to a Revain authorized drop-off location with a packing list. A few weeks later, Revane refilled my credit card for the returned shoes. I've tried calling and emailing Revain but no one can help. If Revain loses your return, you will be charged for the item! I have over $150.

These shoes are about as comfortable as can be, especially if you need x-wide shoes like me. But with the high price of the shoe, there is no fixation on the tongue. So my left tongue twists to the left within 10 steps and creates a strange feeling. I have no idea why NB decided to drop this standard item that even cheap shoes have.

The shoes themselves are great. Feels like the firmer Fresh Foam More v1 out of the box, which is fine. The fit around the ankle seems to give good protection from pebbles despite the low cut, which is nice. The rubber bottom is MUCH more durable than the Fresh Foam More v1 or v2. The knotted bottom grips well, yet glides smoothly enough on the pavement to be okay. Sizing wise, the width is ok and labeled correctly BUT I would recommend increasing the length by at least a half size. A few years

I calculated that I've lived with my latest New Balance Trail Runners for at least 3.5 years. I don't think I understand that time and weight simply affects the foam's ability to absorb shock/weight. I'm usually a size 10.5W so for the main ascents and descents of the trail I chose 11 just to have enough room so my sock would NOT hit the front on the descent as I also wear wool socks which are a bit thicker and better cushioning than most cotton or cotton/polyethylene/spandex blend socks.
