Review on Elmers Carpenters Filler 3 25 Ounce White by Aaron Schultz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cabinet Master Installer

Many wood fillers contain a lot of granular sand and are very sticky or wet, many say they stain but do not cut. This filler (if it contains sand) is very good. fills up well, they sell it in kind which can be dyed but make sure it says CARPENT and the same brown/orange label on it. I used to buy it from my local HW store and they didn't sell it anymore. And replaced with an Elmers product that was too wet and gritty. Product too, but it dries very quickly, you can keep it handy for touch-ups, it lasts longer and costs less. it shrinks when applied very thickly, but can be adjusted by applying again after 48 hours. for nail holes, filling and miter joints it is best to hit the buck.

Pros
  • Easily sanded to a smooth finish
Cons
  • Fragile
