I don't know if the seller understands what the components involved are for. The nylon stand that comes with the ring stretcher is a vital component and is incomplete. The stretcher is assumed to be partially in the nylon stand and there is a hole in the center of the stand for the metal rod during measurement. The problem is that the nylon stay doesn't have a cutout like it should, so the subframe can partially face inward to hold it in place. There's no point in drilling a hole in the nylon support if the rod doesn't fit all the way in to hold the stretcher in place. This only happens if someone hammers the bar all the way, which also defeats the purpose of the subframe. Even so, you must use a hard surface to drive the metal rod in deep enough, then line up the rod and hole and HOPE you can drive the rod all the way through without missing or destroying the nylon support. They are looking for a REAL stretcher that they are trying to imitate, the nylon support is shown correctly and has a place where the stretcher is INSIDE. The second issue is that the metal bar doesn't seem to be fully compatible with the stretcher. They don't mix well with each other, but it's the smallest of the two. It can still be used, but not in the recommended manner and not without risk of injury. It's not safe.
