Review on โ˜•๐Ÿ”ฅ Efficient and Stylish: Mr. Coffee Carterton Stainless Steel Whistling Tea Kettle - 1.5-Quart, Mirror Polish by Chris Ledet

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Sharp-edged, filigree, inexpensive.

I washed it before first use and when I scrubbed the inside with a sponge there is a lip at the top where the lid goes in and it's very sharp inside, a real raw edge, razor sharp. it's the other way around. He immediately cut my thumb. Rounding or at least blunting the edge is easy, you can run another piece of carbide along it and blunt it. I don't know why they don't. In addition, there were several defects inside the teapot where the metal appeared to be somehow scratched and dented. I don't care because it's in the teapot, but still. As for the design, I have no idea why the spout opens in the same place as the handle. When you fully open the spout cover, lift the handle, you can easily bend both the handle and the spout cover orientation. The spout should be inclined at an angle of about 45 degrees so that the handle is completely vertical and the spout lid is also fully open. I see a lot of comments about the thin design. Well, it's not just because it's cheap, there's a purpose for it. That thing boils water fast. Because it has a wide base and because the thin metal of the "soup can" heats up faster and transfers heat between the stove and the water much faster than cast iron, for example. That sharp edge, it's a good product for the price.
