So the fan works fine. Moves a lot of air and is very cooling. I love it. just a word of warning. It has three modes. The first mode is literally everything you need from a fan. It's nice, moves a lot of air and produces a quiet but noticeable rumble. In the second mode it becomes more dangerous. You see, the second mode, and it is better not to have loose paper at hand, otherwise it will be everywhere in the real airflow created by the Lasko box fan. Additionally, you may be able to startle small animals and children with the fan's low, loud growl as its wings whirr and slice through the air. Third mode. I cannot stress enough that no one on this earth needs a third way. The third mode blows calendars off walls, sheets off beds, and wigs off old people. In order for the fan to reach and maintain speed three, you literally have to allow a jet engine in the room where you placed your fan to run to that speed. Nothing will drown out the noise of this fan. in the third mode, when the sonorous roar of a passenger plane preparing for takeoff fills your entire house. TLDR: The first mode is ideal. The third mode will stun your friends and family.
