Many will say it is overpriced. I agree the price is high but my opinion can put it into perspective. They are excellent, easy to use, easy to clean, have many cutting uses and should never wear out. For scissor use, they come in handy in almost every way. For those with arthritis or finger strength issues, you can even use the features to unscrew the tops of small bottles (the size of a soft drink and slightly larger than some medicine bottles). The ease of separating the halves for cleaning also makes them great. As advertised, they can be used to cut almost anything from trimming flowers to cooking in the kitchen to cutting paper. My wife uses them for everything. Me? Mostly men's stuff. After receiving mine the first thing I did was separate the halves to feel the accuracy of the adjustment. I did this because I read some reviews complaining about it. Mine were perfect, but if not, adjustment is easy and doesn't require any special knowledge. The second thing I did was cut the paper in different thicknesses, from thin almost transparent to thick paper. They cut easily and it's easy to maintain a straight line. They should last forever unless lost or abused. Other complaints from the reviews concerned rust. I haven't experienced it yet and I doubt I will. Any stainless steel can rust if allowed to. I just dry them after every wet use. Separating and washing in soapy water is easy and convenient when they are dirty. As with high-quality cutlery, I don't let it dry on its own. The drip drying method increases oxidation (rust) and can affect the cut edges as with any quality knife. Despite the high price, there is something to be said about the quality. With the money spent on cheap scissors that constantly deteriorate from rough use on school projects and cutting materials, such scissors can be easily purchased. You really do get what you pay for and I expect to buy a second pair for my desk. I commend them and Revain for your purchase.
