Definitely worth the price

£50 for a pair of scissors may sound expensive but these are the last pair of scissors you will ever need for your kitchen. They disassemble easily for cleaning and are strong enough to fluff up chickens with ease. They look beautiful in the neighborhood next to my symbols.

Terribly inconvenient to use.

These scissors are small and the handles are extremely uncomfortable. Even with something as simple as separating chicken wings, my hands start to hurt in the backs of my fingers and thumb after about five minutes. Those are terrible scissors. They're spicy, but other than that, they're terrible.

  • Good thing

The scissors received are not the scissors in the photo

This is not the Wüsthof scissors in the photo. Model 5557 scissors have a bone cutout on the blade. The ones I received have no cutout. Especially after reading other reviews that they rust quickly. It was bought to replace a Wüsthof Classic pair of scissors that I have owned for 24 years. I am extremely disappointed.

Rust is best for cutlery and knives Accessories

Scissors feel firm. The blades are a little smaller than the previous pair I had but they work. My biggest disappointment is that the scissors have a nut that is already rusting. I've only had the scissors for a few months. I'm sticking with them for now because I really like the takedown feature, but I wouldn't buy another pair. If you are buying these new I would recommend hand washing and then drying immediately.

Too small to be useful. The old version is much better.

Something happened to the scale of these things. As if they made a mistake converting inches to centimeters. The bottle opener is too small to fit standard US size bottles and they are more like a pair of small scissors. A "screwdriver" is just a sharp bit sticking out of a (too small) handle to cut your pinky. They were removed from the kitchen and sent to a workshop to be cut up at random until they were in bad enough condition to be thrown away.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • Modernity

Perfect! Definitely recommend.

I bought these to replace a cheap pair I used to buy thinking there can't be much difference between cheap shears and expensive shears. boy was i wrong! The ancients clasped their hands when they cut something thick. So go ahead with those. More expensive than I wanted to spend but I wanted a good pair. I love it! They are very thick but not too heavy. They cut very well. They can be disassembled for easy cleaning. If I had something to criticize, it would only be that the blades could be a bit

High quality but inaccurate description

Inaccurate description: no bone bag. In case you don't know, it's a groove cut into one side of the scissors to catch the bone you're trying to cut, otherwise it could slip off the edge, making your cutting job more difficult. smaller than I thought but still comfortable enough in the hands of my size XL. I wouldn't want to use them all day, but for weekend cooking that's no problem. They came pretty sharp and appear to be of very high quality. I think I could use them for years for cooking and

When they say "breakup, " that's exactly what they do. **UPDATED**

So I bought these scissors because I was tired of the cheap plastic scissors we've had for literally 10 years. The final straw with the old couple was when I tried to cut open a raw chicken leg and the scissors fell apart. So I hit the internet hard and got lucky with these amazing looking beauties. At least that's what I thought. These scissors are ascetically pleasing to the eye and durable in construction. The main disadvantage is that it can be disassembled, which the manufacturer…

Wüstof Stainless Steel Kitchen Scissors - Excellent

Many will say it is overpriced. I agree the price is high but my opinion can put it into perspective. They are excellent, easy to use, easy to clean, have many cutting uses and should never wear out. For scissor use, they come in handy in almost every way. For those with arthritis or finger strength issues, you can even use the features to unscrew the tops of small bottles (the size of a soft drink and slightly larger than some medicine bottles). The ease of separating the halves for cleaning…
