So I bought these scissors because I was tired of the cheap plastic scissors we've had for literally 10 years. I hid this fact from my spouse for months because I paid so much for it. But in the end I had to admit that I was mesmerized by her beauty. Another annoying aspect is the rusting issue, which I've never been able to grapple with. I hand wash all kitchen utensils that I care about like knives etc with warm soapy water. But still, these scissors are rusty. Luckily the scissors come with a lifetime replacement guarantee and I have since sent them to the company. substitute. When I spoke to representatives they were not very interested in the complaint. They just wanted to replace them as soon as possible. Haven't received a replacement yet but will let you know if a second pair has the same issues. UPDATE** March 2013 Well I know it has been a while since I wrote this review but I have decided to contact the company about this product. Even after so many years, they offered a complete replacement for free. When I received the new item I didn't have any of the issues I had with the previous pair. I think they fixed that design flaw. So I would now recommend them to anyone interested in a quality pair of folding scissors.
