I bought this backpack on a research trip, I was supposed to work in the archives. I had to walk a lot - both through the archives and just walking around the sights of St. Petersburg (both in the heat and in the pouring rain). I used to carry a computer in a laptop bag, and it seemed terribly heavy to me, but in a backpack I almost did not feel its weight. Despite the fact that the backpack was packed all the time "to the eyeballs", nothing was torn in it during the week of an active business trip life. I really liked the fact that the straps are wide and are strictly parallel, because of this they do not move off the shoulders, like the beveled straps of Samsonite backpacks, they do not require additional fixation with a strap on the chest or waist. But in the pouring rain, I had to put a plastic bag under the top layer (in the "pocket" of the backpack) - otherwise the wires in this compartment would definitely get wet. Still, this backpack does not fully protect against heavy rain - the fabric without impregnation from the rain is ordinary dense matter. This is worth considering. It helped me to layer it with polyethylene. As a result, even under the "wall" of rain, nothing got wet.
