Our TV is on a stand in the corner. When I play, I like to turn the TV towards me. We just bought a new Samsung TV and the stand was a few feet apart so far apart there wasn't much room to turn it around. We buy that and voila! In the down position there is about 5 inches between the base and the TV. Our new Samsung Soundbar is almost 3 inches tall and fits perfectly. I had to put a small strip of silicone cloth (I trim the strip to size) between the soundbar and the TV because it would move the soundbar forward on the shiny base, but I can't see that and it holds the soundbar in place perfectly. The only downside to using the soundbar with this stand is that the base protrudes so far forward (to support the weight) that we thought it was best to place the soundbar on the base as there isn't one in the front space is. This suction cup is strong and strong. I foresee it surviving this TV. And the following is quite possible.
