I was looking for a lighter black scarf for indoors as it's always chilly at work. I searched locally and throughout Revane before settling on this one. Since it was so cheap I decided to take a chance I wouldn't like it. It arrived smelling bad like musty and chemicals mixed in. DISCOVER! I put it in a laundry bag and washed it with my normal clothes on the normal cycle. I even dried it on low heat for a few minutes and then hung it to dry. The scent came out and I could wear it however I wanted. Luckily there were no snags and it didn't stretch after washing/drying. Lightweight gauze material, translucent, no fringes (which are hard to find) and great for spring or just when the job is cold. I wouldn't call it a "warm" scarf for winter or when you really need warmth. It was also long enough that I could wrap it 3 times. Excellent purchase.
