They slide on modern doors. The metal bracket that hangs on the door is not tapered, so it only holds big, old, and thick doors. The rough surface where the hooks connect to the door means it will be scratched after one day. Hang a towel and it turns on its side. That's a scratch. Hang another towel, it will straighten out. That's two scratches. Use it within a week and you're ordering primer and paint/stain for your doors. I hate them. Technically robust construction. In use? Fail.
