Good e-reader tablet for school books

As a part-time student, I have to use almost everything digitally/online. Many of my textbooks are digital and I don't have access to paper copies of all of them. It gets tedious lugging around and setting up a laptop for reading, and as much as I love my Kindle Paperwhite, it doesn't match the third-party apps and color books I have to use. I wanted to use the tablet primarily as an e-book for textbooks, but it could also be used for watching lectures and doing homework. I've only had it for about a week but it works great for everything I need. The processor and RAM are enough to run and switch between the apps you need, and the way I use it, it has enough battery life to get me through two or three days of studying and reading. I wouldn't see it as a replacement for a Paperwhite, laptop, or desktop, but it's perfect for what I needed. Edit: A few months later I ran into an issue with this tablet that I didn't expect. There have been several Power Delivery capable chargers that just won't charge this device. Usually these PD chargers are set up and charging non-PD enabled devices, but this tablet doesn't even know they're plugged in. Not a big deal, but it's inconvenient to carry around multiple chargers when one needs to get the job done. Another problem I just encountered this week. This tablet claims to support OTG. I tried three different USB-C hubs with this device and nine of them worked. Like the PD charger, the tablet doesn't even recognize it's plugged in. I didn't buy this device for this, but it would be nice to have such an option. I'll then try a regular USB-A to USB-C OTG adapter and see what happens, but it would be preferable to charge while using OTG.
