Review on πŸ“» Sylvania SRCD804BT: Stylish Silver CD Microsystem with Bluetooth and Radio Capabilities by Stetson Olsen

Could definitely be better

I bought this unit to put in my garage so wasn't looking for a system that would confuse me. It definitely isn't, and for the money I could do better. There isn't much about the system that I like. Two speakers that connect to the back of the main unit. There is a plug for an AUX cable. So if you want to connect an external player instead of using Bluetooth, you can. I placed the unit on top of a fridge I have in my garage and the display is unreadable from this angle. If you look directly at it or above it, then there is no problem. I found this very annoying as I plan on holding the device up and out of the way. The sound is normal, not bad for the size of the speakers. The volume knob is odd because the dial is spring-loaded in the middle. I wasn't expecting this and started turning the knob to increase the volume before realizing that you only need to turn the knob in either direction to increase or decrease the volume. I haven't tried a CD player yet and I don't intend to. I haven't tried Bluetooth connection yet either, but I'll try that soon and see how it goes. All in all, I could have done better with a different block. Time will tell how long the durability lasts, but I'm not too hopeful as I live in Arizona and the machine will most likely be welding in the summer. <twitches>

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • ---
