Review on 🎾 ADV Tennis Dry Overgrip - 12 or 30 Pack - High Velvety Comfort with Exclusive FeltTac Material - Ultra Absorbent Grip Tape - Pro Tested & Designed by Jamonte Hamilton

Good price, not very absorbent

So I ordered them on a whim after seeing someone on the Tennis Warehouse forums raving about them. My choice for hot weather is the OG TournaGrip. Tournas are slightly more expensive than these and their durability is abysmal. So I was open to the idea of trying a cheaper option that is also absorbent, durable, and comfortable. I used this ADV grip for a batting session and I love it! It's quite soft in texture. It has a certain appeal, but it's not as sticky as say Wilson Pro or Yonex Super Grap, but stickier than the original Tourna Grip. Pros: Inexpensive ($15 for a 12-pack at the time of this review, which is better than many big brands) Multiple color options Good stickiness for a dry grip Comfortable More durable than Tourna (Tourna's durability is pretty terrible) Thick (for some may be a disadvantage) Handles are supplied individually pre-rolled with finishing tape. Tourna Grip only gives you one giant roll and packs the finishing tape separately which can be a hassle at times. Comes in a cute little ziplock bag. Cons: I wish it was a little longer so I could fully cover the grip of the racquet. The decorative ribbon that comes with the grip is pretty crappy. You don't notice it at first, but when it came time to remove the handle and install a new one, the decorative band gave me some trouble because it breaks so easily. I had a roll of Tourna Finishing Tape left over, so I just used that. Even duct tape will do. Doesn't absorb very well. I will update this review over time and use it for a few more hitting sessions. . The grip isn't nearly as absorbent as the original Tourna and my hand kept slipping off. I regret to say that I will be returning to Tourna. I was so glad I finally found a cheaper and more durable absorbent pad, but it just isn't very absorbent when you have very sweaty hands like I do. If you don't have sweaty hands, these pens are actually pretty darn good. Well, back to the search. UPDATE: For those looking for a more durable alternative to the Tourna, check out Volkl V-Dry or Dunlop U-Sweat. I have tested both and both are hard absorbent pads. I'm considering dropping Tourna for good in favor of these two.
