It got the highest rating but the slots are too narrow to toast the bagel easily - you have to use it to spread the gripper bars to let it just fall. how our previous cuisinart white toaster worked. When you're done, the carriage doesn't extend far enough - you have to manually raise the platform with an electronic handle, and then pull out the bagel that's lying on some of the toppings. I'm disappointed that it doesn't perform as well as its predecessor. They seemed to be the closest relatives of the models
