The canning racks arrived on time and I was happy to use them last week when I canned 25 liter pears from our backyard tree. I used a handmade double round washcloth like my mom used to do before me. They were a lot easier to use and I'm glad I have them for future canning needs. My mother grew up during the Great Depression and her mother kept everything from her garden as my mother kept hers. They used everything they could at the time. Of course, if they were both alive to use them now!
