The only knives I used to have were three quick paring knives and a butcher knife from the dollar store. Those little knives got lost when I switched to the cutting board and pro collection, but I realized how much I missed those knives for peeling apples, cheese, or treats for my dog. So I ordered them and really liked the colors, sharpness and durability. It was more than what I paid for my original paring knives years ago, but they are worth it and very durable. Now I hope my friend doesn't lose them like he did with my old set. *** UPDATE They are broken. I hand washed them and only used some of them twice and they broke in my hand. Once when I cut an apple, the plastic broke and the metal of the broken knife slammed into my palm. The same thing happened to the second knife a week later when I was cutting a piece of cheese. The plastic is brittle and unreliable.
