Bought this item for a friend who is in a nursing home. While we could receive radio, we could not receive TV sound. I've tried a few different plugs/splitters the mechanics tried to help - to no avail. Unfortunately, by the time we disposed of the item (a few weeks later) I no longer had the packaging etc and could not (try) to return it. I'll try again by purchasing the same item as (some) others seem to have had better experiences. This time I leave the packaging and packing material. The second device worked the same as the first: the radio input was received, but the TV was not. This time the Radio Shack product (unknown ID or price) was available and receiving TV audio. So I downgraded my rating to one star. **Maybe it depends on the TV - the sets I've tried this on are Phillips TVs used in a nursing home. Now that I've bought Pyle equipment, I might try other TVs.
