Turns off after 30 seconds!

I connected my headphones and transmitter to the player as soon as I received the package. Inserting the batteries wasn't easy, but the sound was very good. I was excited because my wife hates my music. Then the headphones or transmitter switched off after about 30 seconds. This happened four times. I will probably have to go for the more expensive solution because I don't want to be disappointed again.

Works great with in-ear headphones

Stuck with roommate in rehab/nursing home after heart attack. Perfect, because now I can turn up the volume as well as my roommate and not disturb the other. Certainly not the best sound you would expect for the money. It took me a while to figure out the correct wiring combination and the correct reset/scan combination. Click "Reset" and then scan, it will go to TV when connected. Repeated scanning captures radio stations. I use a black cable from the TV to the transmitter. Why didn't the red…

TV sound not working UPDATE

Bought this item for a friend who is in a nursing home. While we could receive radio, we could not receive TV sound. I've tried a few different plugs/splitters the mechanics tried to help - to no avail. Unfortunately, by the time we disposed of the item (a few weeks later) I no longer had the packaging etc and could not (try) to return it. I'll try again by purchasing the same item as (some) others seem to have had better experiences. This time I leave the packaging and packing material. The…

You definitely get what you pay for

Dude, that stuff is cheap. I have to admit that the headphones had the sound of my TV. And, despite the ubiquitous hum, aside from the very low headphone volume, it was pretty decent audio quality considering. But then I discovered that the only way to turn off the base station was to remove the batteries. Whether it was on or off, the red light was on and the signal from the TV was being sent to the headphones. So I decided to open the base unit's plastic case to see if anything was wrong…

One star and met my expectations? Laid Back Dude confused?

This wireless headset met my expectations despite giving it a one star rating. I've had wireless headsets that also give you FM stations that you don't want or need in your headset. They all move between television and radio; You have to constantly fiddle with the switch and look for your TV channel. With MP3 players, tablets and phones offering great MP3 playback, who needs FM radio on wireless headsets you only need to watch TV? In most cases they are simply cut out completely. So why did I…

These work well so far - more than 2 months

I know that others had problems with it. My mother kept a set at the hospital so she wouldn't disturb other patients. You have to listen at full volume. This allowed her to listen normally without disturbing others. They worked for 2 weeks then the reset button fell off. HOWEVER, I ordered a set and had no problems with it. They consume a lot of battery (if you forget to turn off the base station or headset). However, I can actually walk through multiple rooms and keep up with the audio portion

Pros
  • understandable for the old ones
Cons
  • Some little things
