I have never oil painted before and was looking for an affordable starter set. This fit the bill.Pros: It all comes in a great case with a variety of brushes, and a small paint tray and palette knifeCons: The paint tray is too small to be useful. The bristles arrive glued together and had to be broken apart to use the brush. Once I was painting, the bristles began to not only break, leaving small bristle pieces on my painting, but also some whole bristles started to fall out onto my painting. The palette knife is a flimsy and flexible plastic.So overall, while this is an okay starter brush set, the bristle breakage was annoying enough to me that if I keep up this new hobby I will invest in better brushes.
