I have a shorter version of this gate and it's quite comparable apart from being a bit taller of course; The door part of the gate has a slight slope, perhaps for design reasons. It has some value in my opinion which makes the gate look prettier than the shorter version. Our apartment has a fenced outside patio and we are only allowed to close it with a short gate and as this is a rental we did not want to install anything permanent. This is a decent gate and very easy to install. The traction is enough to keep it in place, although it can be overpowering; The wood of the opening to our patio is a bit dated so I'm worried the springs in the gate might damage it so we ended up removing it. I think it would be better if I applied it to a solid door or area.
