I don't mind paying auto mechanics to service my cars in any way. There are things in car maintenance that you don't want to do yourself (like changing dirty oil and transmission fluids, safely changing brake pads, etc.), but this isn't one of them. Oh my God! The cabin air filter must be replaced! Sounds scary right? Not really, just open the glove box, clamp the hinge pins on the back of the glove box and pull it out. Then slide out the drawer behind it, change the filter and slide the drawer back in. Snap the glove box into place. Save $30 on OEM parts and $35 on labor.
