Easy replacement - no tools required.

I don't mind paying auto mechanics to service my cars in any way. There are things in car maintenance that you don't want to do yourself (like changing dirty oil and transmission fluids, safely changing brake pads, etc.), but this isn't one of them. Oh my God! The cabin air filter must be replaced! Sounds scary right? Not really, just open the glove box, clamp the hinge pins on the back of the glove box and pull it out. Then slide out the drawer behind it, change the filter and slide the drawer

  • Best in its niche

  • I won't say anything

Huge difference

I didn't know there was such a thing as a cabin air filter. I thought it was the air filter. I stumbled across the article and decided to read my instruction manual. Nothing was listed there either, so I searched. And now my 2000 Toyota Celica has one! Ordered and installed in minutes and no more weird smells coming out of the vents when you turn on the air conditioner! The exchange is very easy, it only takes a few minutes. Open the glove box, pull out the latches inside and the filter willโ€ฆ

Causes A/C Freeze In Prius

That's a good price for a filter but I just discovered that charcoal was causing the air conditioning in my Prius to freeze. It then has to be turned off to thaw and freezes again within a short time after restarting. I was worried it was my air conditioner. I called my mechanic who specializes in Priya and the first thing he asked was if I use a charcoal cabin air filter. He said to replace it with a regular paper filter and what is the difference. So far no frost and the air temperature atโ€ฆ

Ideal to replace the original product in a 2007 Prius

I bought this filter to use in my 2007 Toyota Prius. I have changed the cabin filter many times over the years and bought it from different manufacturers. It was the cheapest filter I've ever bought, but the quality and presence of the activated carbon layer makes it probably the best I've found. It only took a few minutes to install a new filter that fitted the frame perfectly, and I noticed a difference in the air quality in the car almost immediately (I haven't changed filters in a longโ€ฆ

"Easy to install " highly dependent on the vehicle

The filter itself is fine. However, you should not advertise easy installation, because on some cars it is not so easy. While my wife's car has a cleverly placed cabin air filter that can be reached and replaced in less than 30 seconds, my car requires complete disassembly of the glove box and surrounding trim. This is a 2006 Subaru Legacy, by the way, and for all the smart design decisions they made for this car, access to the cabin air filter wasn't one of them. What a headache. However, theโ€ฆ

POTAUTO Filter Comparison: Very similar but cheaper

I bought a POTAUTO MAP 1033C and an EPAuto CP846 Cabin Filter to compare for use in my 09 Legacy (Gen 4). Both appear to be comparable and cheaper than most other similar filters, although POTAUTO was and still is 33% more expensive than EPAuto. Both appear to be fairly well built considering they are only used as relatively low flow cabin filters. . However, EPAuto is slightly better, mainly due to the fact that the white border is not attached along one side at the bottom of the POTAUTOโ€ฆ
