It's actually pretty easy to install and works when properly connected. However, the camera can only be switched on permanently with this, even if an additional fuse is plugged into a socket that should only get hot when the car is switched on. I'm not sure if this is intentional or a quality issue. In any case, I don't need or want my dashcam to be on all the time, even when parked, as I'd rather it not drain my battery. I know it must have some feature to prevent this, but I don't want to try it if I need my car to work in the morning. The item has been returned.
