We used this for a virtual surprise party. It worked fantastically. I used it for the film, but the real benefit was that my family members were life-size on screen. I didn't take any photos but we decorated the frame area with balloons and such and it really popped. The picture was beautiful and the refresh rate made browsing unhindered from my laptop which had a camera on our side. What was on my computer screen hung on the wall without delay. I'll say if you're using this to watch a movie with a few family members the sound will be good, but if you have a noisy background it's just as good as a phone so you'll need an external speaker. Otherwise, I feel like this thing has already paid for itself with a party, campfire movies and homework, recorded lectures from Zoom, Panopto, Sakai, Google Classroom, Blackboard, etc. I am thinking of buying another one for my nephew he could see his virtual class more. It has Bluetooth capabilities but comes with all the cables you need to connect manually.
