worked fine 2 weeks after installation

worked fine. 2 weeks after installation. This Quickset is stuck. Luckily it got stuck with the door open. Finally, the latch was pushed back using a hammer to remove the entire latch. Down to the local locksmith. $25 for another Kwikset clasp, but the device was much better built and better designed than the mail order Kwikset. No return. learned a lesson. If the latch locked when the door was closed, removing it without damaging the door would be a nightmare.
