I have two pets, one is healthy and the other was ill with an infection and fever. I bought this thermometer to monitor my sick pet for a long weekend before taking him back to the vet in the hope that after two days of antibiotics his temperature would drop. It's extremely easy to use! I used the thermometer on my dog a few times first to get an idea of what to expect. The result varied by a degree or two depending on how I placed it in my ear. I also found it best to turn off the thermometer completely before taking the temperature a second time. My sick pet's temperature seemed normal, so I felt a little better. I do not regret the purchase!
