I attached it to my Werner 1200 series ladder. The wider stance it offers due to the foot offset actually provides a more stable base for the ladder. This adds weight to the ladder, but I won't go into the functionality it offers. I watched the YouTube tutorial videos as directed and was able to install it in about 30 minutes, being extra careful with measurements as I didn't want to drill unnecessary holes in the aluminum conductors. The devices make a very solid impression and feel very robust. I immediately used it to trim some limbs near the garage and the monopod mechanism makes it very handy and useful. This type of feature should simply be built into the staircase so that you have the option of purchasing it without having to add it. I bought this instead of models that only have one leg and it's a better and more comfortable option that costs a little more.
