Review on 7-LED Vintage Retro Bicycle Front Light Lamp for Fixie Bikes with Bracket by Trevor French

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Broke after 3 uses

Installation was a bit tricky but easy enough. The front latch is difficult to open, which is good for driving, but I should have seen the red flags when I even installed the batteries, and the actual case was thin plastic that bent when the batteries were installed. On the second day, the toggle switch would not turn the light on. I thought the batteries were bad so I went to change them and then it REALLY turned on when I was about to replace them. After that I used it again, at which point I got to my destination and found that the light went out while driving. When I opened it at home, the batteries (brand new Duracells) were so swollen that they ripped the packaging and the acid attacked the connectors. They were installed in just 6 days. Build quality is also pretty poor and rattles constantly while driving. I tried tightening all the connections but couldn't get stability. Even the toggle switch to turn it on always felt loose and never stayed in place.

Pros
  • Headlight
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
