However, the Civic EX has a factory wheel arch that prevents easy removal of the front bumper. Solution: Spray light paint on the hood latch and mounting bolts. Remove bolts and latches. Collect. Align the outline of the color to align the latch. Once the latch is removed, pull the plastic grille forward and hold it in place with two short 2" x 4" pieces of wood. For me, the cooler fell with enough play.
