Review on Cardone Select 96 5442 Steering Reservoir by David Olson

Installed on my 2011 Acura MDX. I preferred a new pump over a remanufactured pump as most remanufactured pumps typically just use new bearings and seals and leave the pump assembly intact. Of course, in a healthy system, the pump shouldn't wear out much, but this new unit performs fantastically and has really put my mind at ease all day long, both at idle and under load. Transferring a pulley from an old pump to a new one was easy with an electric impact wrench, and it would be a much more cumbersome task if you only had hand wrenches. Of course, Cardone advertises their new systems with "highest quality” parts, but what worries me is that I couldn’t find any markings on the main bearing to suggest that it is one of the top quality bearing manufacturers, which makes me wonder it is from lower quality. Chinese camp but so far so good.
