Review on πŸ”₯ BikeMaster Heated Grips: LCD Switch for 7/8" Handlebars - Stay Warm and Comfortable While Riding by Grant Nordstrom

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They work great. but

. I give them a well deserved 5 stars BUT with a few questions. 1) They are rigid with very little padding. I understand that this may be necessary to ensure that as much of the heat generated reaches your hand as possible. Perhaps this is necessary, but not very practical. 2) They come with a tube of "superglue" to attach the handles. NO WAY! If you use it, you're almost guaranteed never to be able to remove or adjust the knobs. There's glue for grippy styling, but I've always found that the cheapest hairspray you can find works great. 3) The wiring harness is short. It is designed to attach to your bike's seat belts near the ignition switch. That's a problem. The grips come with everything you need except the crimp on welders is probably undersized. These types of welding machines are designed to crimp and cut the wire insulation and join the wires together. In this case the ones supplied are perfect for the thin wire on the cranks but will most likely cut through the larger wire on the bike. The answer is to use a larger welder that fits the bike and use it to create a pigtail with the same length of wire. You can then use one of the ball adapters (included) and hook onto the handle wire. 4 (and last) instructions could also be translated from Chinese pig latin. Who writes these things? The good thing about all of this is that the holds work great afterwards!
