Review on Universal Exhaust Muffler Removable Motorcycle by Hugh Starr

I installed this on an Orion RXB 150xl and am very happy with its performance. The stock muffler was very loud. To test this muffler, I measured the sound level at 15 feet for about 1 minute with both the stock muffler and this muffler. The noise level has been reduced by about 50% and the sound has also become quieter. Noise Reduction: The standard muffler generates about 70 dB. This muffler produced only 60 dB under the same conditions (idle around 2500-3000 rpm). A 10 dB reduction corresponds to approximately 50%. Audio sound: The stock muffler was loud and hoarse. This muffler is much deeper in tone and obviously much quieter. The sound is still very pleasant on the road/trail. Installation: 5 minutes. I reused the same hex bolt and mounting location on my bike. Conclusion: Buy.
