I recently decided to upgrade my wired/wireless automation system to one that uses Wi-Fi as my house is aging and network noise is becoming a bigger problem. I bought 6 of these systems for my home and installed them around Christmas and then noticed that the same 3 would go offline from time to time and Alexa wouldn't control them when connected to the Smart Life app. I sent the seller a message with some pretty detailed questions and figured I probably wouldn't get any answers, so I planned my next step. But after a few minutes, I received a reply with detailed information, and other replies even included photos of the disassembled device so I could better point the receivers to my WiFi hotspots. The service manager took the time to really understand my technical questions, escalated them to R&D and responded quickly. In the end it turned out that 3 devices were NOT defective. Instead, it turned out that my TP-Link AX1500 router was having a communication problem between devices on the same wireless network, and a firmware patch was released in mid-December to fix it. I applied this patch early in the morning and the Smart Life/Alexa integration has been working flawlessly ever since. So if you are building a Wi-Fi based home automation system (Smart Life, Tuya, etc.) and have a TP-Link AX1500 router, make sure you have the latest update installed! (20201116). Again, with no fault of their product, the support manager was more than willing to help me get his fans fully working. I've had the units installed for just over 2 weeks so I can't comment on their durability. But the tech support is clearly better than most.
