how well it will stick

I purchased this self adhesive strips to hold a power strip to the wall but it was not strong enough to hold up the product. I used it on a door stopper a lighter product and it held firmly. I think it is a good product but not for heavy items. Also it would have been nice if it came with instructions, I had to figure out how to use the adhesive strips.
