There was no smell at all as other reviews have said. Maybe it got fixed, or maybe a batch was made at the racetrack and they learned from their mistake. Not a single berry fell off either (I bought 2 strands of 5.50m each and inevitably pulled them up on the pole and intertwined them). I was very careful with my project but these things held up well. They're great for those looking for a rustic, handcrafted style. The colors appeared to be exactly as described (antique gold and burgundy). I don't think you can ask much more from a 7 euro product. I am very happy with the purchase and it meets my specific criteria. I am a very specific person who has used them for the finishing touches on a piece of furniture I have designed so my investment and review has been carefully considered and in my opinion they are a good choice.
