Yes, there is another article. Yes, it looks shorter. That last part is actually a good thing. Replacing the air filter has always been a HUGE pain as this hose was very stiff and had no slack. The new one actually stretches the stretchable parts, allowing this cover to move far enough to clear the right side of the body frame the next time you change the air filter. I bought this to fix the Check Engine Light, Mixture Inclination, P0171. There was a huge tear/hole in the stretchable part of the old hose.
